Coimbatore AU Offer M.Tech
Anna University, Coimbatore, will offer M. Tech. (By Research) programme from this academic year, its Vice-Chancellor R. Radhakrishnan told presspersons here on Friday. “As many as 1,055 candidates have registered for Ph. D. and M. Tech (By Research) under 14 faculties. Under the M. Tech. programme, candidates will have to earn a minimum of 18 credits and not exceeding 36, depending upon the recommendations of the research committee,” the Vice-Chancellor said. The research programme, approved by the University Grants Commission, would also be offered on-line so that professionals too could earn degrees. It would be monitored by a research committee. Candidates would have to undergo a one-year academic course followed by a one-year industry internship after which they would present a dissertation to the university.
