The fair has everything starting from construction materials to furniture, furnishings, art work used for interior decoration, electrical equipment, and even security systems.

Held for the 15th consecutive time in Coimbatore, the organisers expect a good response from the city. “With prices of construction materials having gone up, consumers will get to see a variety of products and materials under one roof, saving them of the trouble of visiting shops for each item. It will also help them make better, informed choices,” says R.S.Rathnam, Senior Manager, Marketing, Innovative Trade Fairs. “Coimbatore is a growing city. Unlike Mumbai and Chennai, which are bursting at the seams, Coimbatore has a huge potential for construction materials. We see a lot of activities coming up here,” he adds.

The fair has 100 stalls from almost all parts of the country. False ceiling and roof made of steel are special attractions. Among electrical goods, energy-saving fans are the latest in the market. These fans consume only 50 watts power, compared to the others which consume about 75 to 80 watts. Among the lights are the energy-saving tube-lights. The eco-friendly bulbs too are available. Gypsum imported from China used for interior decoration and thermal insulation is displayed at a stall. Gypsum cornices, Roman Columns, Corbels, Lamp panels and relief sculptures are available at the stall.

There is a lot of variety to choose from in the stalls selling anti-skid cement tiles and designer tiles for exteriors and interiors. Ornate doors and carvings on wood are also on display. Among the other array of products for the home are mosquito nets, solar water heaters, bathroom accessories, anti-bacterial and odour free paints and fire protection equipment. The fair includes exquisite pieces of art work to adorn the walls of your homes. These oil and water-colour paintings of varying sizes are available at prices ranging from Rs.150 to Rs.3,500. The exhibition is on at the Padmavathy Ammal Cultural Centre till June 29 from 10.30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
