Ladies Circle Donated Heat Warmer

Coimbatore Ladies Circle 16 donated a Radiation Heat Warmer with cradle and medical equipment worth Rs.50,000 to the neonatology department of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital.The equipment is for treating new born babies who are underweight and test tube babies, Chairperson of the Ladies Circle 16, Nithya Srinivasan, said. The organisation had been extending help to people with disabilities and the needy through various institutions such as the school for the hearing impaired in R.S.Puram, Udavum Karangal, Sevanilayam, and an artificial limb centre.


The Ladies Circle was offering a means of livelihood to destitute women. The club provided them with sewing machines and vocational training under its ‘Rajat Jayanthi Stree Sahaya’ project.The club helped in the education of deserving students through “Adhyapana Sahaya” scheme.It also helped in building schools through the Government’s Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan which aims to boost primary education. The Ladies Circle had raised funds for these projects by holding exhibitions, jumble sales, charity movie shows and by donations from its own members. The equipment was handed over to R.Venkatesalu Naidu, Managing Trustee of the hospital, by Ms.Nithya Srinivasan.
