Speedy Issue Of Community Certificate

District Collector V. Palanikumar has ordered deputation of additional staff to four taluk offices in the district for speedy issue of certificates to anxious parents awaiting admission for their children in various educational institutions. Following reports about parents waiting in long queue at Tirupur taluk office for getting community certificate, nativity certificate and income certificate, the Collector has ordered for deputing a Deputy Tahsildar and two junior Assistants.

The District Revenue Officer, S. Prabhakaran, told that the administration verified the status of applications for seeking such certificates. With the publication of SSLC results, parents required these certificates for admitting their children for higher education. With parents thronging the offices at the same time, the taluk offices were turning busy and the available manpower was found to be inadequate for issuing certificates on time. Considering the urgency and importance of such certificates for students, the Collector ordered for deputation of additional staff.

Having verified the status of backlog of applications at taluk offices and the trend of applications coming in every day proportionate to the taluk’s population, the Collector has ordered for deputation of one Deputy Tahsildar and two Junior Assistants to the Coimbatore South, Coimbatore North, Tirupur and Pollachi taluk offices. As the other staff would have to perform their routine work as well, these staff on deputation would exclusively deal with the applications seeking certificates.

In the event of applicants facing further difficulty, they could approach the respective tahsildars or could even represent to the Revenue Divisional Officers, Coimbatore, Tirupur or Sub-Collector-Pollachi for further assistance, Mr. Prabhakaran said.
