2000 Candidates Turned For Job

Officers from the Assam Rifles taking the chest measurement of a candidate during a recruitment drive at the Police Recruit School grounds in Coimbatore on Monday. More than 2,000 candidates turned up in the small hours of Monday for the recruitment rally conducted by the Assam Rifles at the Police Recruitment School grounds on Avanashi Road in the city.


Assam Rifles is conducting a recruitment rally for various posts in the category of soldier. The schedule of recruitment is as follows: physical endurance tests on July 7 and 8, written tests on July 9 and 10 and documentations on July 11 and 12. The recruitment is open for candidates from entire Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As many as 2,124 candidates turned up for recruitment. The Assam Rifles officers with the help of city police regulated the entry of candidates. On the first day of the physical endurance test, the candidates went through 1,600 mt running, long jump and high jump besides qualifying in physical measurements.
