Bed And Breakfast Concept
The Tourism Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu is taking steps to promote the concept of bed and breakfast in Coimbatore and the Nilgiris districts. A release from Tourist Officer, Udhagamandalam said that the objective was to enrol residents to offer bed and breakfast to visiting tourists. This would provide accommodation to tourists besides helping the tourism economy and giving an extra source of income to residents in the two districts.To educate people about ‘Bed and Breakfast’ concept, experts from Anna Institute of Management, Chennai would be conduct a briefing session at Hotel Tamil Nadu in Udhagamandalam on July 11. The concept has received overwhelming response at places such as Chennai and Thanjavur. To participate people could approach the Tourist Officer, Wenlock Road, Udhagamandalam or could call 0423-2443977.
