In spite of having paid all the dues and even inspection charges by July 14, it is learnt that the junior assistants demanded Rs. 2,000 for a sale deed. After negotiations, Saleem is said have made them agree for Rs. 7,000 to get all the five deeds. Saleem approached the DVAC and under the instructions of Deputy Superintendent of Police, D. Shanmugapriya, a trap was laid by an inspector. When Salem handed over the money, the sleuths held Elango and Subramani. A case has been registered.
