Karunya Inks MoU With Sutherland Company

Karunya University signed a memorandum of understanding with Sutherland Global Services Private Limited, recently. According to the university and the company, the agreement is for conducting exclusive training programmes for the university students on effective communication skills and soft skills for employability.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Paul P. Appasamy, Vice-Chancellor, Karunya University, and by Anne Helena, Senior Executive, Human Resources, Sutherland. Sutherland, as part of its corporate social responsibility, jointly with Karunya University will set up the training programme comprising modules and assignments of 120 hours duration. This will be for all eligible students of the university and they will stand to benefit from the programme.

It will provide the university with complete course material / curriculum for training. In addition, Sutherland would also conduct a ‘Train-the-Trainer’ capsule for faculty members of the university. The training personnel from Sutherland would also periodically supervise the training activity and provide feedback to the university on individual performance of the students who are in the programme.
