Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry Minister Pongalur N. Palanisamy on Wednesday distributed laptops to 36 meritorious students in Tamil medium of instruction who scored highest marks in the recently conducted SSLC examinations. The laptops were distributed at a function organised to mark the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Kamaraj. Prizes were distributed to 31 students who excelled in fine arts and literary competitions. Mr. Palanisamy also disbursed Rs. 1,000 each to 100 students as cash incentive.
