Workshops On ‘Academic Audits of Internal Assessment’

Sona College of Technology, Salem, will organise the workshop on July 17 and the Jayam College of Engineering and Technology, Dharmapuri, will host it on July 18.According to the Controller of Examinations S. Palaniswami, the “Academic Audit Policy” which envisages internal (inter-departmental) audits, external (university audits) and chartered (expert panel audits) has been institutionalised on a trial basis from January and is to be implemented in full from this academic year in all autonomous and affiliated institutions. The structured academic audits are aimed at bringing about credibility and accountability in the conduct of internal assessment modules on the one hand, while at the same time boosting the confidence of the students and parents on the other in bringing about a transparent evaluation system.
