4 Held For Robbery
Special teams of the Coimbatore City Police nabbed within 24 hours, four robbery case accused involved in two incidents of waylaying and snatching reported on Thursday.They recovered the stolen property and motorcycles used by the accused.On July 31, Velkumar (24) an old iron scrap and waste paper merchant was robbed of a cellular phone.On the same day, Dhanapackiam (44), a nurse, was intercepted at knife point by two motorcycle-borne persons and robbed of her gold chain worth Rs.10,000.The Commissioner of Police, K.C. Mahali and Deputy Commissioner of Police, K. Thondiraj (Crime and Traffic) ordered constitution of special teamsled by Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime – East), K. Rajendran.They arrested S. Praveen Kumar (20) and K. Karthik (19) of Avarampalayam and also N. Pandian alias Pandiarajan (19) and S. Ganeshkumar alias Chain Kumar, both from Avarampalayam and Pappanaickenpalayam.
