Packaged Drinking Water Seized
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Coimbatore branch, seized packaged drinking water from Sakthi Waters, Erode, during a raid on Thursday.According to a release from the BIS, spuriously ISI marked packaged drinking water filled in 250 ml flexible polyethylene pouches and 20 litre pet jars were seized. Large quantity of water-filled pouches, jars and film rolls used to make pouches with fake ISI mark were seized.
The Director of BIS, Coimbatore, Varghese Joy, appealed to the public to intimate the bureau of misuse of the ISI mark.
