Consumer Fair
Consumex 2008, a consumer fair organised by Sivam Agencies at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam, has everything starting from toiletries to eatables, kitchen appliances, decorative items and clothes. Among the 80-odd stalls, a majority of them are of stationery items and eatables. The fair is being organised in the city for the 14th consecutive year.“In the last few years, we have been receiving over one lakh visitors. This year, we expect more,” said Chairman of Sivam Agencies M. Rajendran. In addition to the freebies and discounts offered at most of the stalls at the fair, special events would be organised on all the five days, Mr. Rajendran added. Painting and quiz competitions for children, hair-styling contest for women, special dance programme for children, glass painting workshop, magic show, and fancy dress competitions would be held. Special programmes would be conducted for visitors too. The fair is on till August 17.
