Fee Waiver For Disabiled Students
Students with disability pursuing any course under the School of Distance Education of the university will be granted a total fee waiver, Vice-Chancellor of Bharathiar University G. Thiruvasagam told recently. Those who wished to avail of this should submit a certificate for their disability at the respective admission centre, he added.The general admissions for various courses of Bharathiar University under its School of Distance Education were open since May 1.
According to Director of the school N. Balasubramanian, candidates seeking general admission for undergraduate, post-graduate, diploma and PG diploma courses from in and around Coimbatore city could contact the centre located at CSI Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science. Students from other parts could approach the university-recognised information-cum-spot admission centres located in various parts of the country for admission. The list of such centres was available in the university’s website http://www.bu-ac.in.study/ material for first year courses had been prepared according to the norms of the Distance Education Council.
Those students whose admissions had already been confirmed and whose enrolment numbers allotted had been asked to contact the respective admission centres to receive the study material.Admission forms can be obtained at a cost of Rs. 100 (in person) and Rs. 150 (by post). Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Director, School of Distance Education, Bharathiar University. They can also be downloaded from the university’s website.
