Training Programme For Police Officers

In an effort to equip police officers with legislations that are not very commonly invoked, officers from the Competent Authority and Administration imparted training to police officers in West Zone on Monday at the in service training centre in Police Recruit School on Avanashi Road. The Director-General of Police, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption holding additional charge of Training, K. Natarajan, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Coimbatore Range, Seema Agrawal, N. Lingusamy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, In service Training Centre, participated. One Additional Superintendent of Police, six Deputy Superintendents of Police, 11 Inspectors and 16 Sub-Inspectors attended the training.
The resource persons for the training programme, S. Uma Venkatesan, Additional Commissioner, T.M. Suganthamala, Inspecting Officer from the office of the Competent Authority and Administrator addressed the officers on the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act, Forfeiture of Properties and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.The training was aimed at equipping the police officers on these legislations to enable them to handle cases with ease.
