National Student Management Competition
The teams were required to present their papers within 10 minutes and take questions from the judges. Two teams selected from the Coimbatore region will take part in the national final which will be held in New Delhi. “The aim of the competition is to build competitiveness in management students and recognise excellence,” said Kamal Singh, Director of the association. It enables young students to prepare themselves for the corporate environment, he added.
The association used to conduct the competition for young corporate managers but, for the last five years had extended it to the B-School students. The response from the colleges had been overwhelming and 164 colleges from all over the country was taking part in the competition, he said. R. Nandagopal, Director, of PSG Institute of Management, said the competition would enable students to benchmark themselves from other business schools, build their confidence and improve their ability to innovate. Most institutions were looking for innovativeness and creativity.
