Major Yard Remodelling Work Undertaken at Coimbatore Junction
Train No 2682 Coimbatore-Chennai and 2681 Chennai-Coimbatore weekly express have been cancelled on Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and 12, and Nov. 29, Dec. 6 and 13, respectively, due to major yard remodelling work being undertaken at Coimbatore railway junction from Nov. 25 to Dec 12. Train.No 2679 Chennai-Coimbatore Intercity Express would be partially cancelled between Erode and Coimbatore on Nov. 26, 29, Dec. 2, 5, 8 and 11, a southern railway release said on Saturday. Train No 2970 Jaipur-Coimbatore Express would be partially cancelled between Erode and Coimbatore on Nov. 27 and Dec. 4 and 11, while train 2969 Coimbatore-Jaipur express would be partially cancelled between Coimbatore and Erode on Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and 12, the release said. Train No 607/608 Erode-Coimbatore-Erode passengers, 607A/ 608A Coimbatore-Erode specials (upto Nov. 29), Train 2671/2672 Chennai-Coimbatore-Chennai Nilgiri Express would terminate or orginate at Coimbatore North instead of Coimbatore Junction.
The Coimbatore portion of Train 2671/2672 Chennai-Coimbatore Mettupalayam Nilgiri express would terminate/originate at Coimbatore North from Nov. 25 to Dec. 12. (The train leaving Chennai on Nov. 24 upto the train leaving Coimbatore on Dec. 12). The Mettupalayam portion of the train will run as usual upto Mettupalayam and back without any change, it said.
