Child Workers Rescued :
Officials of the Labour Department rescued 18 child workers from various parts of the district during raids conducted recently. The raids were conducted in commercial establishments, eateries and hosiery units in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Pollachi and Udumalpet. Public could inform the department if they came across child workers. Meeting :

Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust will organise exhibition of paintings by Shyamala Guruprasad at its art gallery from December 24 to 28, according to a press release.
Programme :
Ovai Sandhai, an Art for All programme will be organised as part of Coimbatore Vizha on January 11. The event organised by Young Indians will feature stalls of artists from across the country. Paintings, graphic prints, miniatures, sculptures will be displayed.
