Grievance Meeting Related To PDS
The District Administration has organised grievance day for ascertaining the grievances relating to Public Distribution System (PDS) in all the nine taluks in the district on January 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A press release from the District Collector, V. Palanikumar, said that the meeting would focus on grievances relating to distribution of essential commodities and would be held under the supervision of officers in the rank of District Revenue Officers, Deputy Collectors, Sub-Collectors and Revenue Divisional Officers.Members of the public could voice their grievances relating to family cards, irregularities in supply of commodities, change of address in the cards and submission of application forms seeking issue of new family cards. Mr. Palanikumar asked elected representatives and members of voluntary organisations and consumer bodies to take part in the meeting.
In Coimbatore North Taluk, the grievances meeting would be conducted at Panchayat Union School in Appanaickenpalayam, at Panchayat office, Malumichampatti in Coimbatore South, Kandampalayam Varapatti Panchayat Union Elementary school in Palladam, Thandakarampalayam panchayat office in Avanashi, Thekkampatti panchayat office in Mettuppalayam, Panchayat Union Elementary School of Mudalipalayam in Tirupur, Panathampatti Panchayat Union Elementary School in Udumalpet, Jamin Kottampatti Panchayat office in Pollachi and Ayyarpadi taluk office in Valparai.
