Last Date Extended
The Tamil Nadu Police Traffic Wardens Organisation, Coimbatore city unit, has extended the last date for registrations for taking part in the friendly five contests till January 23. A release from Chief Traffic Warden A. Mahesh said that 1,250 students from 66 colleges in the age group of 17 to 22 would take part in the contest to be held at the CIT College Auditorium on January 24 from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event would be inaugurated by the City Police Commissioner, K.C.Mahali.Competitions will be held in painting, ortatory, essay writing, dance, songs, rangoli, quiz, 3D modelling, slogan writing, collage and photography. The theme or topic of the contest would be on road safetysuch as signal jumping, lane discipline, rash driving, using cell phones while driving and the need to wear helmets.
