Man Lost Life To Rescue Wild Pig

In a freak incident, a worker drowned in a well attached to a farm, when he got into it to rescue a wild pig at Periyanaickenpalayam, on the outskirts of the city, police said. According to police, 47-year-old Lakshmanasami got down in the well, to rescue the pig, which had fallen into it late last night. The worker, who did not know swimming, fell into the 40-foot well and drowned. Though some other workers and villagers got down, they could not save Lakshmanasami. However, the pig was rescued.
