Online IQ contest Winners

Managing Director of KG Information Systems Ltd. Ashok Bhaktavatchalam along with the winners of the Online IQ contest organised by The Hindu NIE and Everonn at the prize distribution function in the city on Saturday. “Parents should identify intrinsic unique talent and harness it with the required leverage understanding the aptitude of the child for shaping up the right career in the right direction”, said Ashok Bhaktavatchalam, Managing Director of KG Information Systems Limited, on Saturday.

He was speaking at a function organised by The Hindu to distribute prizes to the winners in the online IQ quiz contest as part of the Newspaper in Education (NIE) initiative in association with the Everonn systems at the Bharathi Matriculation School on Thadagam Road in the city. Ms. Sasikala, Head Web Products of Everonn, said that participation in any contest itself is a first step to victory. D. Rajkumar, Regional General Manager, The Hindu, in his welcome address announced that The Hindu would join hands with KGISL to conduct a computer programming contest besides making the online quiz an annual event.

The first prize carried a cash of Rs. 5,000, second prize Rs. 2,000 and third prize Rs 1,000 besides a trophy and one year free subscription to http://www.classontheweb.com/ of Everonn systems. The contest was held in three categories of students i.e., those in Standards VI to VIII, those in IX and X and for those in Plus One and Plus Two. In the first category, the first three prizes went respectively to V. Sathiyashree of GRG Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Civil Aerodrome Post, T. Arun Suthar of Carmel Matriculation Higher Secondary School and M. Meena of SIV Educational Institutions, Sirumugai.
There were consolation prizes besides participation certificates to every participant. In the second category of students in Standards VIII and IX the first three prizes went to N. Nivaashini of SIV Educational Institutions, Sirumugai, Kavya of Bharathi Matriculation Higher Secondary School and P. Gowtham of Velavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School – Tirupur. In the category of students in Plus One and Plus Two, the first three prizes went respectively to D. Chandru of Lisieux Matriculation School, R.G. Aishwarya of SBIOA Matriculation Higher Secondary School and A.T. Pradeepa of SIV Educational Institutions of Sirumugai.
