Answer sheets go missing prior to exams !!

Nearly 2,000 fresh answer sheets received from Bharathiar University were found missing from a private college at Kangayam on May 19. This was noticed by the college authorities when the arrangements were going on for the conduct of examination at the college on May 20 Three members of the university Syndicate have been deputed to investigate the faux pas. Vice-Chancellor G. Thiruvasagam told he had immediately debarred the college from holding any examination till further instruction from him. “The college has been blacklisted. An inquiry will be held to find out the reason behind the disappearance of the sheets,” he said.

Final decision regarding action to be taken against the college would be taken after the receipt of the inquiry report. Blank examination papers under Code ‘C’ were missing from the room where the college had stored them. “Usually the college is supposed to store question papers, answer sheets and all examination-related paraphernalia in the same place. The college had not done so. Answer sheets that were stored in a separate room were found missing a day before the examination,” said the Vice-Chancellor.

He had instructed the college to lodge a complaint. He had also instructed the college to and bear the transportation and other costs of students to enable them to take the examination at the TERF’s Academy College of Arts and Science, Kovilpalayampudhur.All affiliated colleges of the university had been asked not to use answer sheets under Code ‘C’ for undergraduate or postgraduate examination.
