Fund raising music programme
Youth Helping Hands (YHH), a social welfare movement to help orphaned children, will conduct a music programme here on to raise funds for these children. There are 48 orphanages in Coimbatore and a lot has been done to help the orphans in the past two years by the organisation started three years ago, according to its Chairman R. Arun. Many youth had joined this organisation in the uplift of these children.At present, YHH and VOYCE (Voice of Youth For Clean Environment) have proposed to organise the music programme. The funds collected will be used to meet the children’s basic needs. Orphanages that were in dire need of funds will be given priority. Prominent singers such as Prasanna, Mukesh, Roshni and Divya will share the stage with orphaned children who are good at singing. The organisation has called upon the public to support this venture.
