Movement to protect Men's Rights !
A movement claiming to protect men's rights, particularly against alleged abuse of "women-centric" laws, has been launched here.
"Certain laws aimed at protecting women like Dowry Prohibition Act and Prevention of Domestic Violence Act are being misused against men, resulting in collapse of Indian family system, even leading to suicide of husbands," G Prakash, convenor of Coimbatore chapter of the 'Save Indian Family Movement alleged.
"Whenever a married woman dies due to any reason, like accident, illness or suicide, it is escalated into the realm of dowry death and the husband is immediately arrested. But large scale suicides by men owing to domestic violence perpetrated on them are not even getting noticed let alone justice being done," Prakash pointed out.
