Fortune Park enters the city

Fortune Park Hotels, a subsidiary of ITC, is scouting for management contracts in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Dubai and Pakistan. Said Mr Pawan Verma, the ITC Ltd hotels division executive vice-president (operations), "we are actively looking at management contracts in these countries". "We hope to finalise a deal within the next six months," Mr Verma said. Fortune, he said, has been the fastest growing brand in ITC's hotel portfolio.

ready in the next two to three years



The company planned to have nearly 100 hotels in the country in the next five to seven years, he said. Fortune Park on Monday opened its 23rd hotel, the Fortune Park Panchwati, in Howrah. Mr Verma said that Fortune Park had entered into 43 alliances as m anagement contractors, out of which 23 had been operationalised.


Fortune Park would also own three properties, one each in Bangalore, Kolkata and Coimbatore, which would be ready in the next two to three years. He said that the company would spend around Rs 150 crore for the three properties.
