Anna University, Coimabtore, and its affiliated colleges will get broadband connectivity from the coming academic year. RailTel Corporation of India, a subsidiary of the Indian Railways, which offers retail broadband services, will now provide these services for educational purposes. Vice-Chancellor R. The university would primarily use it for three purposes – real time data transfer, video-conferencing and on-line examinations.
