Man Trampled To Death By Elephant
A 38-year-old man was trampled to death by an elephant on Thursday. Ayyasamy alias Ayyavu, a village temple priest, was attacked by elephants while returning home. Villagers and forest officials chased away the herd by firing crackers and lighting torches and recovered the body. Recently, Raman of Thanikandi village in the area was trampled to death by an elephant.
