Students, parents and Dalit Panthers of India activists in front of the Government Girls Higher Secondary at Ondipudur on Wednesday. Traffic was briefly disrupted on Tiruchi Road, near Ondipudur, on Wednesday for nearly half-an-hour when students of the Ondipudur Government Girls Higher Secondary School, their parents and cadres of the Dalit Panthers of India resorted to a road blockade. The agitators demanded that the playground should be restored to students and questioned the grounds under which a private charitable trust was staking claims for ownership over the playground citing some court orders.
