Fill Up The 50% Vacancies By TNGOU

The State President of the Tamil Nadu Government Officials Union, G. Suriyamurthy, has urged the State Government to take steps to fill up the 50 per cent vacancies in the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Audit Department. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the meeting of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Department Audit Department Officials Association recently, Mr. Suriyamurthy said the Department was handling the auditing works of nearly 22,000 co-operative societies in the State. Mr. Suriyamurthy said that the Co-operative Act should be amended to ensure delegation of more powers to the State Governments. He also urged the Government to drop the proposal to outsource the services of private firms for auditing the accounts of the co-operative societies.


Mr. Suriyamurthy said that the Tamil Nadu Government Officials Union is planning to convene its conference in Chennai in August. He also urged the Government to consider according job permanency and time scale pay for the temporary workers numbering around 3.6 lakh across the State in various departments. Welcoming the medical insurance scheme of the State Government, Mr. Suriyamurthy said that the Government should run the scheme rather than handing it over to private people. Considering the difficulties faced by the salaried class, Mr. Suriyamurthy urged the Government to take expeditious steps to rectify measures to clear the anomalies in the sixth pay panel report.
