DMDK Job Fair @ Coimbatore
DMDK, the party floated by actor-turned politician, Vijayakanth, would organise a job fair in the city on Dec 7, where over 25,000 aspirants are expected to participate. Party Coimbatore District president Dr Dennis Koil Pillai, told reporters here that DMDK had organised two camps--one in Salem and another in Erode, in response to the call given by its leader, Vijayakanth to provide one lakh jobs to youths in a stipulated time.More than 400 Indian and foreign companies have agreed to offer jobs to the skilled and non-skilled, educated and uneducated youths and at least 5000 to 6000 jobs would be through on that day, he said. Leading companies in engineering and manufacturing sector, software sector and also health sector, including Hospitals from Coimbatore have confirmed their participation in the fair, Dennis said. About 43 per cent of the 4750 aspirants in Salem and 38 percent of 6,500 job seekers had got jobs during the earlier fair, he claimed.
