Life Time Achievement Award

Member of the Medical Council of India and former State president of the Indian Medical Association A. Muruganathan also received the award that was given every year by the foundation as part of the Doctors’ Day celebrations. This year, to commemorate the centenary year of the founder of the foundation, K. Govindaswamy Naidu, the title of “Doctor of Excellence” was conferred on 120 doctors from Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Coimbatore, Palani, the Nilgiris and Dharmapuri.
Chairman of K.G. Hospital G. Bakthavathsalam said the doctors were chosen for the title for their service to the patients, especially in saving many lives. Stressing passion for work and commitment to serve people, he said doctors should be recognised for their services. “This would only motivate them to serve people better”, he pointed out.
