Conference on interventional pulmonology
Kovai Medical Center and Hospital will hold a conference on interventional pulmonology here on July 25 and 26.Chairman of the hospital Nalla G. Palaniswami said on Tuesday that the meet would discuss the latest trends in interventional pulmonology. There would be demonstration of interventional procedures like endo bronchial ultrasound and thoracoscopy would be performed during the conference.
Dr. Palaniswami said V.R. Pattabhiraman and S. Mahadevan, who headed the Department of Interventional Pulmonology, had organised the meet to mark the first anniversary of the department.As interventional pulmonology was a new and fast emerging area in the field of healthcare, the conference aimed at creating awareness among the medical fraternity on the advances in the field, Dr. Palaniswami said. Around 300 delegates from various parts of the country were expected to participate, he said.
