In addition, help desks will be set up on the IT office premises to assist the tax payers in filling up and filing of returns. Both the special counters and the help desks will function on all the five days in all the IT offices in Coimbatore region.Besides, officers will be present to offer any clarification that may be sought by the assessees and also in filling up of the new return forms.These forms will be available in the special counters. Besides, the forms can be downloaded from the department’s official website www.incometaxindia.gov.in.
Tax payers are not required to file any annexures with their returns.But they are required to quote correct address, PAN, Bank A\C number, MICR Code, etc in their returns to facilitate speedy processing. IT returns will not be accepted without these mandatory details.They are also advised to bring their PAN cards or PAN allotment letters to facilitate easy filling up of their returns.
