Connect Coimbatore on Feb. 27
The annual information technology event of Confederation of Indian Industry, CoimbatoreIT.com, will be held here on February 27. Organised by the confederation in association with the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), the event will be known as Connect Coimbatore from this year.A release said the highlight this year is showcasing emerging business opportunities in hardware sector and deliberating on the growth potential of IT and IT enabled services sector. The manufacturing sector here can tap the potential in the hardware sector. And hence, the theme for the event this year is "Creating Entrepreneurs for Sustaining the IT Growth in Emerging IT Centres."
The conference will have sessions on building a global IT services company, the platform for IT growth, emerging business opportunities in the hardware sector and creating entrepreneurs for sustaining the growth of IT in Coimbatore.
Speakers will include C. Chandramouli, Secretary, Department of IT, Government of Tamil Nadu, R. Rajalakshmi, Director of the STPI, C. Uma Shankar, Managing Director of ELCOT and Neeraj Mittal, Coimbatore District Collector.
