CII Welcomes Power Holiday
The Confederation of Indian Industry, Coimbatore, has termed the weekly-once power holiday for industries a “very good short-term measure.”Confederation chairman K. Thangaraj said in a release that it was, however, imperative to provide uninterrupted power supply on the rest of the days.Power holiday would lead to almost 20% loss in production
The power holiday would lead to almost 20 per cent loss in production, coupled with year-end deadlines.“The industry is already facing tough times with the rupee appreciation and manpower shortage.It is important that the Government supply the industries that use captive power during the power holiday.”
