CII's Connect Coimbatore-2009, will held on Feb 27

Connect Coimbatore, an annual Information Technology event, on February 27 organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Coimbatore.

Ashok Bakthavathsalam, convenor of the ICT Panel of the CII, Coimbatore Zone, and Ravi Sam, Vice-Chairman of the CII, Coimbatore Zone, told presspersons here on Tuesday that in this ninth edition of ‘Connect Coimbatore’ the focus would be on ‘Innovative ICT for World-Class Enterprise.’

The three main sessions would be on ‘web as enablers of growth,’ ‘cost effective information and communication technology (ICT)’ and ‘emerging opportunities.’

P.W.C. Davidar, the IT secretary, would inaugurate the event and F. Pickhard, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions India would be the chief guest. Students, entrepreneurs and electronic data processing managers would participate.

The event would be a platform to improve awareness and enable sharing and networking innovative ICT technologies. It was important for the companies to learn how to harness information and communication technology to accelerate their business goals.

Education Matters Organises Overseas Education Exhibition on Feb'20

Education consulting company, Education Matters will organise an overseas education exhibition on February 20. According to a release, students aspiring to study abroad can gain information on courses, eligibility, criteria, scholarships, costs, application process and visa requirements.


University of Salford, University of Plymouth, Staffordshire University, Liverpool Hope University, London Metropolitan University, University of Teesside, Kingston University, University of Leicester, TASMAC London School of Business, Kensington College of Business, etc., are among the participating institutions.

Coimbatore Mobile and Computer Show Begins

The Mobile and Computer Show’ 08, with about 95 stalls, is all about computers, handsets, automobiles and consumer goods. The exhibition commenced at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam on Thursday and is on till October 5.

Organised by Adwavess, the show has most of the leading brands of computers, lap tops, mobile phones, printers, accessories, telecom service providers and invertors. There are also counters by those who take up service of these products.
