MRF National Supercross Championship @ Coimbatore

Karan Kadam of Team TVS has won the inaugural round of the MRF National Supercross Championship in Pune. The second round of the 6-round competition will be held at Coimbatore.A sizable crowd turned up to watch the opening round of the MRF National Supercross Championship at the Shahu College Ground in Pune on sunday.

It is only for the third time that a floodlit supercross was being organised in the country. The annual event, organised on the lines of international motocross standards, saw as many as 120 riders participating from across India. Only the best made it to the final of the Class 1 event meant for foreign bikes. But, once the competition started, it was only one man who dominated the proceedings. Teenager Karan Kadam showed why he's regarded as one of the brightest racing hopes in the country. He not only won the top honours but also bagged the best rider of the day award.
