THEN Gmbh plans to presence in Tirupur
Tirupur:German-based THEN Maschinen GmbH that developed THEN Airflow dyeing machinery plans to increase its presence in Tirupur textile processing industry.Ralph Soemmer, who looks after sales in South India, Pakistan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia etc, told reporters here on Friday that the eco-friendly machine has wider acceptance in Tirupur market. The company introduced the technology here a couple of years ago, now they have installed 30 machines.
The airflow synergy machinery, though a capital intensive one when compared to hydraulic machines, consumes less water. Mr. Soemmer said that it consume 30-40 litres of water to dye a kg fabric against around 80 kg litres of water in the hydraulic machines. This brings down the use of chemicals, salt and reduces the treatment costs. He further said that the productivity was high in this technology. There would be a saving of up to Rs. 12 a kg and suitable even to job working dyeing factories too.
