1day workshop on MFP
ITCOT Consultancy and Services Limited, Chennai, will organise a one-day workshop on “Opportunities for Cultivation and Processing of Minor Forest Produces (MFP) in Tamil Nadu” at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University here on June 27. A release from the consultancy said that it had conducted a detailed study on the scope for minor forest produce-based industries in Tamil Nadu recently.The study was sponsored by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.Based on the study, several viable projects related to cultivation and processing of MFP were identified and project profiles had been prepared. The consultancy felt that the workshop would be an ideal platform to disseminate the information on the project opportunities, suitable schemes, etc., to the prospective entrepreneurs.ITCOT was a joint venture of ICICI, IDBI, IFCI, SIPCOT, TIIC and SIDCO.The workshop would be held at Centre of Excellence for Bio-fuels in the university premises.For details contact 98409-28298 or 98419-90212.
