South-RTO will function todat @ new office
The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Coimbatore South, will function from the new premises at door number 100, Peelamedu Pudur Road, Peelamedu, HMS Kalyana Mahal from October 3.Hitherto, the RTO South functioned from the premises on Dr. Balasundaram Road that housed the RTO North and Deputy Transport Commissioner’s office. This resulted in congestion both within the premises as well as outside dueto lack of adequate space.Hence, the authorities decided to shift the RTO South to Peelamedu.In the first phase last month, the section dealing with driving licence was shifted to the new premises.The Regional Transport Officer, Coimbatore South, V.N. Uthayanun, in a press release issued here said that from October 3 all transactions and issues relating to those living in Coimbatore South taluk would be conducted from the new premises.
