Maternity Block To Public By Mothercare
Mothercare’s Rs.70-lakh initiative had prompted the Rotary Club of Tirupur North and Fulchand Exports to renovate Eawaramoorthy Maternity Block in front of the
railway station here at Rs. 40 lakh.
Stressing on the benefit of partnership, Mr. Peacock said that the partnership between Mothercare and Tirupur had been strong. “We have opened our first office outside the United Kingdom here. We have a special place for Tirupur,” Mr. Peacock said. The construction of the modern maternity block was a good example of partnership between Mothercare and its vendors for the cause of the community, he added.
Thanking the Mothercare and its knitwear suppliers for taking up the project in Tirupur, Mr. Selvaraj that their name and fame would last long as like the late T.S. Kandasamy Chettiyar who donated the land and building for the maternity home several decades ago. He said the Mothercare’s Rs.70-lakh initiative had prompted the Rotary Club of Tirupur North and Fulchand Exports to renovate Eawaramoorthy Maternity Block in front of the railway station here at Rs. 40 lakh. He appealed to the staff of the hospital and patients to keep the building clean.
Terming it a small beginning, Martin Antony, managing director of Mothercare India Sourcing Limited, said the partnership between Mothercare and its vendors would make many service projects possible. He said the Mothercare Valuable Trust would take care of the maintenance of the building and landscaping. Corporation Commissioner M. Ashokan and Eastman Exports managing director N. Chandran offered felicitations. R. Rajkumar of Best Corporation also spoke.
