The police have beefed up security on sensitive bus routes in the Coimbatore area after a Karnataka State Transport Corporation bus was attacked by angry protestors on Tuesday."All buses plying to and from Karnataka will be escorted by the police up to the city border
City Police Commissioner K C Mahali told reporters on Wednesday.Mahali told Express that strict action would be taken against those indulging in violence. On Tuesday, five people had attacked a Karnataka state bus and damaged the windshield. The police have arrested the attackers.
