He lauded the Central and State Governments for providing a conducive atmosphere for students to pursue higher education in India
Delivering the graduation address at the RVS College of Arts and Science, he lauded the Central and State Governments for providing a conducive atmosphere for students to pursue higher education in India. “Both the Governments have provided for educational grants and loans for the benefit of economically backward and middle-class students to pursue higher education. They have to use this rare opportunity to equip themselves with quality education,” the Minister said.
In spite of the various measures taken by Government and private agencies to promote higher education, he said that the number of candidates opting for higher education was deplorable. “Though there are many loans being given for development of research, we still do not have enough scientists. The present scenario warrants producing world-class scientists for solving global problems,” Mr. Palanisamy said.
