Training Programme
A training programme on “Commercial Products from Tomato and Papaya” will be held at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on July 24 and 25.According to a university release, processing of tomato and papaya into various value-added products and packaging technologies will be covered in the training programme.It will include making of preparations like beverages, chutney, paste, sauce, ketchup, candy, jam and pickle will be taught. Candidates will also be oriented on product safety and quality control, FPO licence for establishing fruit processing industry and finance and marketing of the products.Those interested can register before July 23. A fee of Rs. 1,000 in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Dean, Agricultural Engineering, should be sent to the Professor and Head, Post Harvest Technology Centre, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore – 641003.
