In respect of other vehicles, the officials detected offences such as overload by goods, by persons, plying without tax, uncovered cargo, without tax, without pollution under control certificate, without insurance cover, without fitness certificate, use of dazzling headlights and air horns, the release added.
A sum of Rs. 36,730 was collected as tax while a sum of Rs. 1,45,155 was realised as compounding fee for offences.A sum of Rs. 1,32,100 was proposed as compounding fee to be realised by the respective registering authorities after adhering to procedural formalities such as serving of notices seeking to show cause.
