TNGCTA Urged Govt For New Scale Pay
The Tamil Nadu Government Collegiate Teachers’ Association (TNGCTA) has urged the State Government to implement the new scale of pay to college and university teachers without any modification. According to a release from association general secretary S. Tamil Mani, a rally will be organised by the Joint Action Council of College Teachers in Chennai on August 13.
The association also thanked the State Government for constituting a committee to review the conversion of government and aided colleges into unitary universities. It has requested the committee to collect views from all sections of society. These resolutions were passed at the meeting held recently in Tiruchi to elect the State-level office-bearers. They are K.G. Palani – president; T. Arivudainambi - vice-president, S. Tamil Mani – general secretary, and P. Madhu – treasurer.
