Norms for advertisements
District Collector P. Umanath has said that those interested in putting up advertisement hoarding in the village panchayats should apply for licence with him.They should pay Rs.1,000 for fresh licence or for renewal, Dr. Umanath, who was also the Licensing Authority for advertisements, said in a release on Wednesday.
A rent would have to be paid for advertisements/hoarding put up on lands belonging to the local bodies or the Government. These areas should be within a 30 km radius from the Corporation and 10 sq km from a municipality, the release said.
