PSG bridge again under construction
The City Police Commissioner, C.K. Gandhirajan, has announced that traffic on Avanashi Road would be diverted on July 14 and 15 in view of the construction of a bridge across the road by the PSG College of Technology connecting two of their premises.Vehicles bound towards the east on Avanashi Road from Lakshmi Mills will have to take the Vilankurichi Road and then join Avanashi Road via Pioneer Mills Road.Similarly, vehicles from the east proceeding towards the west i.e., Lakshmi Mills on reaching the Pioneer Mills Road junction would have to enter the Sarvajana School and join Avanashi Road.A temporary diversion road had been created for the purpose.To avoid congestion on the diverted routes, heavy cargo vehicles would not be allowed to ply on the road on both the days.They should use the Tiruchi Road on either direction.
