Exporters welcome formation of Tirupur Dist
Tirupur Exporters' Association (TEA) on Thursday thanked Tamil Nadu government for formation of a new District, with Tirupur as headquarters. Welcoming the budget, TEA president, A Shaktivel in a statement said the formation of new Tirupur district would certainly boost the progress of Tirupur region, especially the garment sector.Thanking Finance Minister, K Anbazhagan and Local Administration minister, M K Stalin for fulfilling the long standing request of TEA, Shaktivel also welcomed the inclusion of Tirupur under the scheme of Tamil Nadu Urban Roads Development Project for upgradation of Roads, which was the need of the hour.
He lauded the proposal for implementation of E-district programme in five district collectorates including Coimbatore and expressed hope that this would be extended and introduced in the new Tirupur district also. Shaktivel also welcomed the reduction of tax on generators used for producting electricity.
